The song came about when I was thinking of the highs and lows of destructive relationships, so I wanted to shed a light on this subject. The first verse is about the highs - how that good feeling of being with someone you like alot makes you feel happy. Then, in the second verse, comes the lows - everything in the relationship feels like lies and the person who made you feel happy now makes you feel sad. It's heartbreaking and you lose faith in love.
